Guardianships

Our guardianship attorneys have experience throughout the New York City area in the contested guardianship proceedings. We represent alleged incapacitated persons, parents, children, friends, and other people interested in the well-being of a person who may need a guardian. While we litigate many guardianship matters to trial, we strive to reach a resolution in the most cost-effective matter possible. We also know that not every guardianship case is the same, and work to craft solutions individually tailored to the needs of the alleged incapacitated person.

Our guardianship attorneys are experienced in proceedings in Supreme Court under Article 81 of the Mental Hygiene Law and in Surrogate's Court under Article 17-A of the Surrogate's Court Procedure Act.
